There is nothing new under the sun (Ecc 1:9). These unfortunate proclivities have existed since the beginning of time. We live in a world where right is wrong and wrong is right mindset has increasingly become the new norm. However, the veil of protection is being lifted from sexual deviants; especially for powerful and wealthy individuals. From the church house to the outhouse, no one is getting a free pass.
Sean “Puffy” Combs
A childhood icon, Puffy and the artists he produced have dominated the billboard charts for decades. He is a world renown music mogul sans entrepreneur. However, with the rise to fame Sean “Puffy” Combs has become the Weinstein of the music industry, with 25 lawsuits mounted against him; ranging from harassment, sexual assault, sex trafficking. Recently, the most prominent lawsuit was settled privately between Combs and Cassie. With criminal charges of a sexual manner people on the outside always question, “why did it take so long for the victims to come forward?” There are many underlying reasons such as shame, guilt, feeling powerless, and/or seduced under the spell of fame and fortune. Many, perhaps all will receive hefty sums of money to compensate their pain. A pain and memory that will linger for the rest of their lives. Either way none of the victims deserved to be tortured, beat, drugged, passed around, and raped. I feel sorry for his children, some of which have been dragged into legal proceedings. They didn’t ask for this life, but were born into it. I pray they can learn from this and come out of this whole matter unscathed.
Bishop T.D. Jakes
One of the most prolific voices in the christiandom: he founded the Potter’s House in 1996, lead a popular women’s ministry (Woman Thou Art Loosed), and a prominent men’s conference (Man Power), a proclaimed media mogul, and he owns a real estate company. I attending a couple of his ManPower conferences years ago. I purchased some of his books, but I could never connect with some of more recent publications. Bishop Jakes, the black pope of evangelical movement was mentioned briefly in Puffy’s sexual misconduct lawsuit, as a spiritual leader who would rehabilitate Puffy’s public image. Until recently Pastor Duane Youngblood has accused Bishop Jakes of sexual assault when he was just a teenager. Many sexual misconduct allegations have come against Bishop Jakes, but cash is king. He has enough money to make his sins disappear.
You could murder ten people and bury their bodies on the front lawn of a church and no one would say a word — figuratively speaking. The church protects their own at any cost.
2021
In January 2021, God told me that my best friend and I would no longer be friends. I couldn’t understand why God would say that about my closet friend. We’d been bros for 24 years: prayed for one another, watched our families grow, and always supported one another. By September, just months after my mom passed from cancer, he shared with me that he was in love with his god-daughter (14 year old girl) and they were sexually involved. For some people, the blame is placed on the girl—she was probably already promiscuous. It was consensual sex between the opposite gender for several months. This girl knew what she was doing and she knew the difference between right and wrong. So the blame is balanced equally between both parties. I was faced with the dilemma of not saying anything and forgetting it ever happened or reporting it to the authorities. He was placed in his god daughter’s life for a reason. One of her parents were permanently disabled and the other suffered a chronic illness. From my viewpoint he took total advantage of the situation, only thinking about himself. He transported her from place to place (home, school, church, etc) with uninterrupted access to a minor. He blamed his wife, the girl, and now I’m sure I’m at fault. After praying about it, I reported it to the authorities. By the grace of God, no one was arrested. The girls’ parents did nothing, the police took minimal action, two school teachers did nothing, and the church did nothing as well. A black girl sleeping with a adult male almost three times her age was not an important case for the police department. I’m sure there were other pressing crimes to address. Females especially black females are at their lowest priorities. Most churches, not all, are only concerned about warm butts in seats and an offering plate overflowing with money. At the end of the day, nobody cares about souls. Sex is pleasurable. This 14 year old girl was bound to engage in sexual intercourse eventually—right—what difference did it make? The safety of a black minor is negligible. We should be happy we are not slaves anymore. We’re free, isn’t that enough?

Before attempting to take office for a second term, shouldn’t he resolve the mounting sexual misconduct cases that are stacked against him?
Since the 1970s, at least 26 women have publicly accused Donald Trump, the president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, of rape, kissing, and groping without consent; looking under women’s skirts; and walking in on naked teenage pageant contestants. Trump has denied all of the allegations.

It’s amazing how #45 is able to have every crime pardoned and attempt to take office for a second time—all in the name of God. While innocent people are rotting away in prison, #45 is attending election rallies, bashing women, the handicapped, and people of color.
